The Gemini device's best feature is now available on Android phones... It will completely transform your life.
Alongside the launch of the Galaxy S26 and S26 Ultra, Google unveiled one of the most significant new features in Gemini's history. Google's AI technology can now act as an "assistant" on your phone, performing tasks for you, from ordering food delivery to shopping or even hailing a taxi. While this feature initially appeared to be exclusive to Samsung's new models, Google is now expanding its reach to other Android smartphones.
In fact, Gemini's new assistant feature has begun rolling out to many popular Android phones and is expected to become available on other models in the coming months, changing the way you interact with your phone. The feature works seamlessly; you can type in the Gemini app or use your voice via Gemini Live, for example, by saying, "Request an Uber to my current address and to a mosque." The AI will then open the app, determine your current address and destination, and display the available options.
Which phones will support this new Gemini feature? Google has confirmed that the feature is rolling out to the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL. If you own one of these phones, you can download the latest version of Pixel Drop to start using this new feature. Gemini will also be available for the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra in the coming weeks.
Gemini also introduces other changes to your mobile phone.
But this isn't the only new AI feature coming to Google phones and some Samsung models. The company is also working on improving the Circle to Search function. It can now detect multiple items simultaneously, allowing users, for example, to find the source of an entire outfit or all the products displayed in a single image.
The company also announced a new app that lets you see what songs are playing in your vicinity in real time , for example, in a cafe or through a speaker. You can directly access any song, save it to your favorites, or browse your history of previously played songs.
It's worth noting that while Gemini Agent and other AI features are currently only available on select Pixel and Samsung phones, they are expected to arrive on other models in the coming months. It's typical for the company to first announce features on a limited basis for its own devices, then roll them out to other brands such as Xiaomi (including Poco and Redmi), Oppo, OnePlus, Nothing, Honor, and others.
