Xiaomi has released a remote control that works like Apple's. You'll want to get one for your TV because it has a feature you won't stop using.

Although it may seem odd (given that Xiaomi releases more than one product daily), the Chinese company hasn't updated one of its most frequently used devices in a while: its TV remote. Thankfully, that day has finally come. The Xiaomi Bluetooth Remote 2 Pro is a new remote from Xiaomi. It looks a lot like Apple products and has a feature that should be on all remotes.

One of the most striking features of Xiaomi's new remote is its appearance. It boasts a design very similar to Apple TV remotes, with a slim aluminum body and slightly curved edges. Even the button layout is remarkably similar. The Xiaomi Bluetooth Remote 2 Pro has a power button on top, along with a button to activate the voice assistant and a scroll wheel for navigating the user interface, menus, and applications.

The Xiaomi remote also features a back button, as well as volume up and down buttons. It also includes buttons for accessing the home screen, menu, and TV section. All of this is powered by a 300mAh rechargeable battery that charges via USB-C.

In addition to its sleek design, the Xiaomi Bluetooth Remote 2 Pro features a built-in NFC chip, enabling a crucial function. Simply by bringing your phone close to the remote, you can share content directly from your smartphone to your TV with a single gesture, eliminating the need for any prior setup or activation of additional functions.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi remote control, designed for TVs and digital receivers, supports Bluetooth 5.4, ensuring a fast connection and smooth operation. And of course, the Xiaomi Bluetooth Remote 2 Pro can be used with any Xiaomi TV. In other words, if you have an older remote, you can simply buy this new one and upgrade.

The Xiaomi Bluetooth Remote 2 Pro is currently sold in China for around €14. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed whether it will be released globally.
