The Firefox browser includes a new and important button... Here's how you activate it.

Mozilla has kept its promises. Mozilla has kept its promises. It has now released Firefox 148, the most recent version of its browser, which includes a button to disable artificial intelligence. It has now released Firefox 148, the most recent version of its browser, which includes a button to disable artificial intelligence.

It also includes additional buttons for enabling or disabling specific components. It also includes additional buttons for enabling or disabling specific components. Let's see how this works. Let's see how this works.

Today, artificial intelligence is everywhere. Today, artificial intelligence is everywhere. Unfortunately, this intelligence crosses a red line that many refuse to acknowledge: privacy. For services like ChatGPT to be effective, they need to know everything about you and send your personal data to be processed in the cloud.

Large companies like Microsoft, Google, Meta, Amazon, and others impose artificial intelligence on us: they activate it by default and integrate it into the system without consulting us. At best, these companies allow you to disable it, but they don't allow you to uninstall or disable it completely.

To use this new feature, you must first install the latest version of Firefox: version 148. It is available now. To find out your browser version, go to the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner, then click "Help" at the bottom of the menu. Click "About Firefox," and your browser version will be displayed. If a newer version is available, it will update automatically. Remember, you need version 148.

Next, in the same three-part menu, go to Settings. In the left column, you'll find a new feature called "AI Controls." Click on it to access AI customization options.

The button that blocks AI in Firefox is called "AI Blocking Improvements," which is rather odd. The press release states it's enabled by default, but in my case, it was disabled. Enabling it turns off all AI features.

When you activate this button, the new AI features that Mozilla will add will not appear; you will have to activate them manually from this screen.

In addition, you can enable or disable specific tools through the options below.

This is a very logical way to implement AI in a browser: a button that blocks all AI features, then allows each user to activate what they want. I wish Chrome and Edge had a similar feature.
