What are optional Windows 10 updates
Windows 10 clients who have moved up to variants 2004 or 20H2 may have seen something new when they go to Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update. Underneath the consistently present "Check for refreshes" button, Windows Update at times presents a discretionary updates thing, as appeared in Figure 1.
This, incidentally, is a revisitation of usefulness offered in Windows 7, when discretionary updates were concealed in a different window. At the point when Windows 10 turned out, Microsoft started placing all updates in a single stream; however, now the organization is getting back to obviously marking and isolating discretionary updates from the standard month-to-month aggregate updates bundled up on "Fix Tuesday" (the second Tuesday of every month).
