Instagram said that as of today, all accounts can change the order of the photos in their posts from their profile. This means that if you upload a post and aren't happy with the first photo, you can change its position. The app allows you to freely move any photo within the same post, so you could put the third photo first, the second last, and so on.
Until now, there was no way to rearrange a post after it had been published. The only way to do this was before sharing the images. If you didn't like the cover photo, you had no option but to delete the post and re-upload it in a new order.
However, this feature has been under development for months and was already available to a limited number of users. Now, it's available to everyone. To rearrange your Instagram posts, follow these simple steps that will only take a few seconds.
First, update the app to the latest version, and then go to your profile. Next, tap the post you want to rearrange, then tap the three-dot menu at the top. Select "Edit." When the editing window opens, tap and hold the image you want to move, and drag it left or right. Finally, tap the "Done" button at the top.
This feature is available for all posts containing more than one image, including posts with videos, regardless of the posting date. It's undoubtedly one of the best features Instagram has added in a long time.
