Google has had a significant impact on Microsoft Office. The company has used Gemini to improve many of its online office services, effectively doubling its ability to complete tasks that would normally take hours in seconds with little effort. While the incorporation of this technology into Google's services was only a matter of time and its adoption isn't as widespread as we'd like, Docs, Sheets, and Templates are evolving into more comprehensive tools.

In general, Google has integrated Gemini into its three services to simplify any task. From designing a series of slides to writing long, complex texts in a specific style, all without needing to switch between services: the AI is built into the tool itself.

Even better? Gemini empowers anyone to create or manage Sheets and template documents from scratch, without any prior knowledge. And that's not all—artificial intelligence handles almost everything; all you have to do is submit an initial request for what you want.

Starting today, all three Google tools include Gemini integration, and in each case, the integration works and performs different functions. In Docs, it helps you write better; in Sheets, it lets you manage spreadsheets without prior knowledge; and in Templates (similar to PowerPoint), it helps you develop good design skills without any prior design experience.

The bad news is that Google has started offering these features in English, so you'll need to configure the tools and submit requests in that language. To make matters worse, and as is often the case, this feature is only available to subscribers of Google AI Pro, Google's premium AI service.

As for Google Docs, if you're a content writer, this tool now uses artificial intelligence to take it to a new level. Docs can now automatically generate drafts of documents based on your files in Google Drive, Gmail, or the internet. In other words, Docs learns from your own content to write more effectively or on topics enhanced with context, for example, from PDFs in Google Drive.

Docs can also rewrite or improve specific parts of your document as you work on it, just like a shared file. Furthermore, the tool can copy the writing style, tone, and structure from another document to align with your requirements or to adapt your own writing.

Spreadsheets: This Excel alternative also uses the context of Drive files, Gmail emails, and web searches to create complete spreadsheets on demand. It can also automatically populate existing spreadsheets, eliminating the need for manual data entry.

But the most interesting aspect of Gemini's integration with spreadsheets is its optimization capabilities. You can upload any document, whether your own or someone else's, to analyze, improve, and correct errors based on your initial specifications.

Templates. Google Slides now works almost automatically. Gemini can analyze a PDF or Word document to create a series of slides from scratch, taking into account the main topic, analyzing key points, and considering your preferences through an initial prompt.

But it doesn't stop there. The tool now lets you manually create a slide in your own style and copy it to all the other slides you need to complete your presentation. It takes into account colors, structure, and style, so you only need to put in a lot of effort on the first slide, and you can have 20 or 30 slides with the same style.
