Goodbye, iPhones, MacBooks, and iPads. Apple is discontinuing sales of seven of its most popular products

Goodbye, iPhones, MacBooks, and iPads... Apple is discontinuing sales of seven of its most popular products.

Apple Week featured a flurry of new announcements, some impressive, such as the new MacBook Neo, and others updates to some of its most important devices, including the iPhone 17e, MacBook Pro, iPad Air, and Studio Displays. However, with the introduction of these new products, the company decided to remove some of its most popular models from its catalog and cease sales.

In fact, it is common practice for the company to remove an older model from its catalog when introducing a new product; however, in some cases, it keeps it available at a reduced price for those who do not want the most recent model and prefer a less expensive option. However, we haven't seen so many Apple products disappear in a single week for a long time.

In total, Apple discontinued sales of seven devices on its website. Fortunately, all of them were discontinued permanently because Apple released a better version at the same price.

Products that Apple has stopped selling on its website

Apple has stopped selling the iPhone 16e on its website. This lower-priced phone has been updated to the iPhone 17e, which maintains the same price but includes new features. This new model boasts a more powerful processor, MagSafe technology, 256GB of base storage, and a new rose gold color option.

In addition to the iPhone 16e, Apple also removed the iPad Air M3 from its product lineup. A new iPad Air with an M4 chip, offering more powerful performance and more RAM, is now available at the same price. Other changes have also been made to the Air series, with the MacBook Air with the M4 chip being discontinued and replaced by the MacBook Air with the M5 chip.

In related laptop news, Apple has decided to discontinue the MacBook Pro with M4 Pro and M4 Max processors. The more professional models now include the M5 Pro and M5 Max processors. Interestingly, Apple continues to offer the MacBook Pro with the M5 chip, though the 512GB version has been discontinued and is now available with at least 1TB of storage.

Finally, the 2022 Studio Display was phased out and replaced with a new version that includes an improved front-facing camera and Thunderbolt 5 support. Apple also discontinued the Pro Display XDR branding, thus ending production of that model as well. It was replaced by the Studio Display XDR to unify the display lineup.

While Apple has not made any further announcements, all indications suggest that the next products to be discontinued will be the 11th-generation iPad and the HomePod mini.
