Huawei's triple-folding phone will support computer applications
Huawei is preparing to launch the world's first smartphone with a tri-folding screen. And it seems that this device will be distinguished by its ability to run computer applications.
Initial tests have shown positive results in the 28-micrometer test, which measures the durability and clarity of the display after repeated folding. This is a good indicator of the quality of the display and the lack of fold marks, which is a feature of Huawei foldable phones.
The new phone is expected to run on the HarmonyOS NEXT operating system, which is a system developed entirely by Huawei and does not depend on Android. The device will also be equipped with a new Kirin processor produced by the company.
The phone is expected to be priced high, with limited production. It is likely to be limited to the Chinese market only, as Huawei aims to showcase its technical capabilities more than making it available globally.
Mass production of the phone is expected to begin in the last quarter of this year, after a delay in its launch date, which was scheduled for the first quarter of 2024. Huawei has managed to solve the technical problems it encountered during the development of the device.
