How to fool the GPS on your phone into displaying your desired location to everyone
Your mobile phone’s GPS seems impossible, but it’s not. You can easily trick it into simulating a fake location on your Android device and thus hide your real location. In this article, you’ll learn what you need to do to trick your mobile phone’s GPS into showing the location you want.
Before performing this procedure, you should keep in mind that GPS is a very useful component of the device, which can help you, among other things, locate the phone when it is lost. So simulating a location different from the real one permanently can lead to some problems. Obviously, this is an interesting function to use at times.
As we said, spoofing the GPS of your mobile phone is something that you can do easily, so you do not need to root your Android device or have advanced knowledge. This procedure is divided into two parts: one that takes place in the phone settings and the other that relies on using a third-party application that changes the location of the phone.
In Google Play, there are applications for all tastes. For this guide, we have chosen the Fake GPS Location application, although the procedure is the same if you use other applications with which you can share a fake location on WhatsApp, for example.
Once you have downloaded the free application on your mobile, you can start the procedure to spoof the GPS of your Android mobile phone and simulate the location of your choice. It all consists of enabling developer options and telling the phone to take the location that you will specify in Fake GPS Location.
Go to the “Developer Options” on your phone and enable this option
Once you have installed the previous app, head over to your device’s Settings > Developer Options again and tap on the “Mock Location Apps” feature. From here, grant the downloaded fake GPS app permission to simulate location on your phone. Now open the app and place the pin anywhere in the world where you want your location to be. You can zoom in or out on the map and start the mock location feature wherever you want.
