Le Chat, an AI app for iPhone and Android, is released by a French company. They say it is the best in creating images

Mistral, a French startup that is leading the development of artificial intelligence in Europe, has launched an AI-based chatbot called LE Chat for iOS and Android devices.
The LE Chat app is the mobile version of the web version of the same name, Mistral AI Assistant. It features the usual chatbot interface that allows users to enter queries and receive AI-generated answers in a conversational format.
However, Mistral has yet to implement voice mode in LE Chat, which means users cannot make verbal inquiries to the AI assistant. The web version of LE Chat has also been updated.
Mistral’s announcement comes weeks after the chatbot Deepseek soared to the top of the App Store charts in several countries and surpassed OpenAI’s ChatGPT to become the No. 1 app in Apple’s App Store in the United States. The French AI company is seeking to position itself as a homegrown alternative to AI models developed by U.S.-based tech companies like OpenAI and Anthropic.
The LE Chat app allows users to generate images and provide search results with quotes. The French startup recently signed a deal with Agence France-Presse (AFP) to provide users with up-to-date and reliable information about current events. Image generation is said to be one of Mistral’s AI strengths, as it is based on Black Forest Labs’ Flux Ultra text-to-image generator.
You can download it for both Android and iOS.
