AI exclusively for the wealthy. OpenAI charges nearly 20,000 euros per month for the most advanced artificial intelligence
While most AI-based features are available to free account users in both the most popular models on the market, we are increasingly starting to see different subscriptions that allow consumers to take advantage of more advanced features.
If you were surprised a while ago to find out that OpenAI was launching a $200 subscription tier with ChatGPT Pro, things may now be going much further and much more expensive.
However, OpenAI plans to charge up to $20,000 per month for specialized AI agents, and they will apparently be agents focused exclusively on large corporations and enterprises.
According to the information, OpenAI intends to launch several agents designed for different advanced applications, such as an agent targeting high-needs and income workers that could have a monthly subscription of $2,000; another agent dedicated to software development at a price of $10,000 per month; and most surprisingly, an agent dedicated to doctoral-level research that could reach $20,000 per month.
OpenAI justifies this pricing structure by the economic benefits it can ultimately bring to customers and will therefore focus on large corporations and research organizations rather than individual consumers.
A few weeks ago, OpenAI launched several AI agents like Deep Research and Operator that offer enhanced capabilities.
On the one hand, operators can perform complex online tasks with minimal human intervention, such as browsing the web, clicking buttons, filling out forms, and much more, while deep research provides advanced research and reasoning capabilities.
