We are all accustomed to using the Google search widget on the home screen of our phones to look up anything. New tools have been added to the widget's most recent update to facilitate some of its features. We describe their purpose and how to activate them below.

With the help of this Google tool, we can use the search engine to look up anything we want without ever opening anything. However, Google has since added the following new features:

Google Translate (text)

- Google Translate (Camera)

- Search for songs

- the weather

- Google Sports

- Dictionary

- Homework (via Google Lens)

Google Finance

This is an intriguing modification that can be helpful in practically any situation. Consider, for instance, that you are traveling to a foreign nation. You can translate any type of text or sign by simply unlocking your phone and pressing a button if you have configured the Google tool to include the camera translator. Everything is quick and straightforward, without having to search for anything.

How to activate this new feature in Google Search

This new feature is now available on all Android phones running version 16.3.34 or later of the Google app. Activating it is very simple:

- Press and hold the Google search tool for several seconds.

A drop-down menu will appear with three options. Click "Settings."

In the next window, click Shortcuts.

The final step is to select the keyword you like best so it appears in the Google search toolbar. Remember that you can only add one keyword, for example, Google Translate.
