There is no doubt that today's web browsers have become more powerful and functional, all thanks to the tools that their developers offer us. These features come through continuous updates that are sent, for example, to Edge by Microsoft.
In fact, there are many companies that want to make a name for themselves in this important software sector, and it is no easy task. Google Chrome has been leading the way for many years, and from what we know, it will be difficult to take that lead. However, there are a few similar proposals that are trying hard, such as Microsoft and its Edge browser.
This is a relatively new browser compared to other competing browsers, but it has gained millions of followers and users over the past few years. We can say that this is one of Microsoft’s biggest projects at the moment. Well, we are telling you all this because it just got an important new feature and we are sure that most of you will love it.
Let's start from the foundation that says that one of the biggest drawbacks we find in this type of browser for navigating the Internet is the enormous consumption of resources they make for the computer. This is one of the main complaints of most users, which affects the use of the processor and random access memory (RAM). And this is precisely where the new tool that is already part of Edge by default comes into play. It is true that browsers have been offering us different functions for some time to improve their performance. But this will become especially important for gamers.

I am sure most of you already know firsthand that web browsers have become a common occurrence in online gaming for users all over the world. Hence, being able to manage the performance of the browser itself and its resource consumption when playing our games has become essential. We are telling you all this because Microsoft Edge now has a new feature available that allows us to customize the amount of RAM that the browser will use in our games.
This is the value that we will be able to control through the slider that we find between the Edge configuration options. To customize this important section, before starting the games, we will have to access the Edge web browser settings window. In the panel on the left side we find the section called System and Performance, which we click on.
Now all we need to do is locate the section that says Performance Management, where we will find the new function that interests us in this case. Depending on the amount of RAM your computer has, this will be the slider that you can adjust according to the amount of RAM you want to allocate to your online games.
At the same time, the browser itself gives us the opportunity to allocate the RAM pool located here for all the tasks that we perform from the browser.
