The Secret Is Out. This explains why your phone's "System" folder occupies a massive Gigabyte of space

There is a mystery that has been unsolved for years on Android phones. The title already gave you an idea: we are talking about the "System" folder. We have told you on many occasions that this folder is necessary for your device to work, so you cannot delete it. The problem arises when this folder starts to fill up with files and its weight begins to reach several gigabytes. No one has yet been able to decipher why this happens. Today we can confirm that this is a fault of Android itself!

The answer has been discovered by Mishaal Rahman, a leading expert on Android news and developments, who states: I have already discovered the cause, as it is not a problem that the user can resolve. It is Android itself that should put an end to this mysterious and strange file management behavior.

Well, what I discovered is that the system folder is responsible for “storing” all the files that the system can’t recognize. Anything that isn’t an image, video, document, app, or easily recognizable file. All of that becomes part of the folder storage.

We put the word store in quotes for a reason: the folder doesn't store these files; it just shows how much space they take up. That is, it shows the space of the operating system and all these unrecognizable files, even though the latter aren't in this directory.

Imagine you are downloading Asphalt 9 and this game uses a strange file system to store the cars in the game. These cars are stored in the game folder, but if Android doesn’t recognize them, they take up space in the “System” folder. They are not actually in the said folder, but they appear in the storage space. As you can imagine, it is very confusing to figure out what is taking up the said space and delete it.

For this reason, the System folder can weigh several tens of gigabytes, since there are some very common files that Android cannot recognize and store in their designated place.

There is no way users can prevent this from happening. You can simply rest assured, because they are not useless files. They are actually the space that is being occupied by the device but is not being stored properly.

When Android provides a solution and these files are stored properly, the "System" folder will not take up much, but this storage will be distributed in other folders and sections. It will be the same, but now you will know how to recognize them and delete them if you want to.
