Update your Samsung phone as soon as you can if you own one of these models.

Samsung has taken the time to update some older phones to a version that may not have any new features or customizations but is still very important, even as the company continues to expand its One UI 7 interface.

The purpose of this update is to safeguard the device. In particular, it fixes dozens of security flaws found in the system with different patches. The company releases these kinds of updates, called security updates, for some of its smartphones once a month.

More specifically, the March security patch addresses 58 bugs in the previous release, as stated in the update notes supplied by Samsung. Seven of these are Samsung fixes, and 51 are Google fixes. Ten of these vulnerabilities are classified as "critical," and the other forty are classified as "high priority."

Thankfully, updating your Galaxy phone should only take a few minutes because these are minor updates that install quickly and do not take up much space on your device. However, only a small percentage of phones will get this security update, which this time falls in March.

According to Gizmochina, 13 smartphones are currently getting this security update; the majority are expensive models from the previous year that have not received the One UI 7 update yet. The following is the list:

Galaxy S24

+Galaxy S24

Galaxy S24 Ultra

Galaxy S23

+Galaxy S23

Galaxy S23 Ultra

Galaxy Z Fold 6

Galaxy Z Flip 6

Galaxy Z Fold 5

Galaxy Z Flip 5

Galaxy Z Fold 4

Galaxy Z Flip 4

Galaxy A55

To update, just navigate to Settings on your Samsung phone, select Software Updates, and then select the "Download and Install" button. Despite the fact that this is a straightforward update, it is still advised to backup your data. Additionally, you'll need to have sufficient space on your phone's internal storage and a battery life of at least 50%.
