Google Play now offers the most helpful Samsung app you can download to your Galaxy phone
The South Korean behemoth has not been sitting idly by, though, as it recently formally released its own customization app, Good Lock, on the Google Play Store. Samsung halted the global One UI 7 update because of a bug found in the Korean version of the firmware.
All users with a Galaxy phone running One UI 7 can now download Samsung's customization app from the Google Play Store, following last week's updates to some Good Lock modules. We announced at the beginning of the year that Good Lock would be available to everyone with One UI 7.
9to5Google claims that the Good Lock app's most recent update, which was released on April 10, removed the "Early Access" tag that had been applied since the app's mid-2024 Google Play debut. Similar to this, the media mentioned above also tells us that Good Lock is being gradually rolled out globally to the Google Play Store. It can be manually installed on the Galaxy S24 Ultra with One UI 7 and remotely installed on the Samsung Galaxy S25.
Additionally, SamMobile disclosed that the Good Lock app can now be downloaded in Romania, a country where it was previously unavailable. This is more proof that Samsung has started to expand the app globally.
A Samsung app called Good Lock comes with a number of modules that let you personalize every aspect of your phone, including the lock screen, sound preferences, and even the built-in camera app on the Galaxy.
