There is a new mode on WhatsApp that lets you talk in any language.
WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will enable automatic translation of messages and updates in channels and chats without the need for an internet connection or data transmission to third-party servers. Language packs will be used to process everything locally on the device.
The most recent Android beta update (version 2.25.4.5) revealed that the app will have an automatic language detection system, which will simplify the translation process by eliminating the need for the user to first choose the language of the message they received.
Without requiring manual setting changes, this new feature—which is still in the development stage—will increase the precision of language detection and facilitate more natural and smooth group communication with multilingual individuals.
Users must download particular language packs in order to use this feature, and they can remove or reinstall them whenever they choose from WhatsApp's storage settings.
The main benefit is that conversations stay private, respect end-to-end encryption, and eliminate any data security risks because all translations are completed on the same device.
Even though the launch date has not yet been confirmed, this enhancement marks a substantial advancement in multilingual communications, particularly in settings like international groups or global channels where linguistic diversity is prevalent.
