These are the brands of mobile phones that break the most frequently. The Chinese business is one of the most trustworthy
Potential malfunctions are the primary cause of mobile phone replacements, accounting for 57% of consumer purchases.
This is the outcome of a survey that was carried out among 42,000 individuals from various nations, including Spain, by the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU).
Research indicates that a mobile phone's average lifespan is approximately 4 years and 8 months. During this time, security updates, which have been steadily increasing in recent years, are also typically available.
It is also important to note that 35% of respondents claim to purchase a new phone because they want a different model, which is a common occurrence among a brand's most devoted customers.
OCU also developed a reliability score for major brands on a scale of 0 to 100 and listed the most frequent issues over time, such as the number of breakdowns for each manufacturer.
With a score of 89, Huawei phones top this category and are therefore the most dependable for consumers—that is, the ones with the fewest malfunctions. Other brands from the same region, including POCO and Oppo, both of which received 87 points, trail the Chinese manufacturer.
With an impressive score of 81, Motorola, on the other hand, came in last on the list, reflecting consumers' general satisfaction with mobile phone brands available.
However, when OCU asked participants what issues most frequently lead them to purchase a new mobile phone, the battery topped the list at 11%, followed by issues with the screen and charger or charging port, both of which came in at 6%.
OCU notes in its research that "only a few brands achieved good scores in the case of the battery, the most common issue (Poco, Realme, and Motorola are among the highest-rated, but never exceed 80 points)."
Apple is unquestionably the most dependable product on the market, as evidenced by its astounding score of 94 on the same survey that also asked questions about other devices, like laptops.
Whatever the case, manufacturers have made efforts to make their devices last longer, with new solutions related to battery life, fast charging, and device protection.
