Microsoft is sending out messages to Windows 10 users advising them on which computer to purchase
To entice Windows 10 users to upgrade to Windows 11, Microsoft has "intensified" its messaging. It has made the decision to "recommend" the purchase of new computers directly, and strangely, it suggests Copilot+ PC. It has made the decision to use full-screen pop-ups on our PC in order to accomplish this.
The sole purpose of these invasive alerts was to showcase Copilot+ PC's accomplishments and advantages. These included increased battery life, enhanced performance, and, of course, new AI features. However, it is evident that this tactic has sparked a lively online community.
Windows 10's end of support is drawing nearer every day. Actually, Microsoft will stop supporting version 10 on October 14 in favor of Windows 11. The point is that Microsoft's approach appears to be more reminiscent of a Black Mirror episode than anything else. Many users are now receiving more notifications advising them to buy new computers. Strangely enough, this notification is about the message that encourages them to buy a Copilot+ PC.
Copilot+ PCs are made especially to help us maximize Windows 11's AI capabilities. This is because their chips are fully integrated with Copilot and have higher AI efficiency. Although this may be the case, the community is understandably curious as to how Microsoft's announcements got to this point.
As anticipated, a lot of users have voiced their displeasure with this kind of behavior. It is true that users believe it makes sense that upgrading to Windows 11 calls for more potent hardware (like TPM 2.0 or better microprocessors). However, it appears that Microsoft is attempting to "force" us to purchase its Copilot+ PC devices through this kind of advertising.
Whether you decide to stick with Windows 10, upgrade to Windows 11, or take an intriguing detour like Linux is entirely up to you.
