There is a hidden feature on your Xiaomi phone that allows you to see exactly what each app is doing
A well-known feature of Xiaomi phones is the MIUI customization layer. This layer is renowned for giving its branded devices new features. These include new camera features, security features, and features that help make apps better.
Brands have been working to increase the security of mobile phones lately. With MIUI, we can see what each app is doing at all times thanks to a new feature. This is called App Behavior, and we'll tell you where to look for it.
What is the behavior of an app?
App Behavior, which is available for certain MIUI versions, is predicated on constantly understanding what our devices' apps are doing. We can view all of the system's apps through the list.
This list displays the app's usage for a day, filtered by hours. If we tap on an app, it will open a log where we can see what the app did in those minutes.
- How to access App behaviour
To access it, we have two ways to do it: from Settings or from the MIUI Security app.
- Click on Settings.
- Scroll down to find Privacy Protection.
- Within this menu, we will find the option “View behavior of all applications.”
By clicking on this option, we find the menu we mentioned above.
If we want to access it in a simpler way, we can do so from the Security app:
- We look for the security application in the initial list or in the application library.
- Open the security application.
- At the bottom of the application we find the privacy option again.
- If we tap on this privacy option, we will see the same option as before, “See behavior of all apps.”
- By clicking on this option, we will see the behavior of the applications we need.
We've tried to review this option on some devices and have determined it's not available for all MIUI versions. If you have this option on your MIUI version, it's a good alternative for being able to see the security of your device and the apps installed on your phone.
