Update Google Chrome quickly to protect yourself from these new and dangerous vulnerabilities

Google has updated its Chrome browser with a new version that all users should install as soon as possible. The new version fixes several security issues. According to the company, one of these issues is already being exploited by hackers.

The current version of Chrome, version 136, just received an important security update that Google and experts recommend installing. If it doesn't automatically apply, you'll need to update manually to take advantage of the added features. The good news is that this new version is now available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Google always tries to keep its browser as secure as possible, but some security vulnerabilities can creep in. Fortunately, this time they acted very quickly. Apparently, of the vulnerabilities discovered, only one was recorded as having been exploited by hackers to carry out attacks. According to the information they published, both vulnerabilities were discovered by security specialists who did not work for Google. However, as is often the case, these experts contacted the company, and Google responded by fixing the vulnerabilities as quickly as possible.

As the company notes, these two vulnerabilities are extremely serious and have been identified as CVE-2025-4664 and CVE-2025-4609. Additionally, the company also stated that it internally discovered two other vulnerabilities that have also been patched with this update. If you want to know if your browser is up to date and secure, all you have to do is check the version you are currently using. The patched version is 136.0.7103.113.

To update, all you have to do is go to chrome://settings/help Chrome and the update will begin. After restarting Chrome, you'll be protected against these vulnerabilities.
