With the help of artificial intelligence, a new Google app lets you virtually try on clothing.
Doppl is an experimental app that Google Labs recently released with the goal of revolutionizing how we try on clothing before purchasing it. Using artificial intelligence, this new tool generates a customized digital avatar that you can use to model any item of clothing. The app is now available on iOS and Android, but for users in the United States only at this time.
This feature, according to the company, is the next development in virtual clothes trying technology. The Doppl app allows you to upload pictures of clothing you see in stores, on social media, or even in your friends' closets to see how it would fit you without having to try it on, as Google mentioned on its official blog.
Doppl differs from other apps of a similar nature in that it produces dynamic videos rather than merely showing still images. AI produces animated scenes that depict how clothing moves on your avatar, providing you with a more accurate sense of how each item will fit and fall.
To fit their style, users can try out a variety of fonts. Almost any image with clothing can be used by the app, including window displays and Instagram screenshots. After that, you can share your preferred combinations with other users on the same platform or save them.
