Circle to Search has been updated with a feature you didn't know you needed

Since its arrival on Android in 2024, Circle to Search has become Google's most popular AI feature, available not only on Google Pixels but also on devices from brands like Samsung and Xiaomi. Google understands this, which is why it has been constantly improving this AI tool with truly useful features that let you automatically scan QR codes and barcodes, advance through video game levels with just a screenshot, and even recognize any song playing, in pure Shazam style.

Well, Google has now updated Circle to Search again with a new tool you didn't know you needed, but it will change the way you use your Android smartphone.

As we read on 9to5Google , Google is updating its Circle to Search feature with a new feature that will make it easier for you to search for songs identified by this AI tool.

So, as you can see in the screenshots below, from now on, after tapping the musical note icon in the "Circle to Search" bar to select a song, a new circled clock icon will appear in the upper right corner. Tapping it will open a new section called "Recent Song Searches."

Once you enter this new section, you'll see a total of 10 songs grouped by month, each displayed in a grid that includes an image of the album, artist, song, and the date and time it was recognized by Circle to Search.

Additionally, if you scroll down to the bottom of the Recent Song Searches section, you'll see a button labeled Show Full History, which takes you to a page called Search History, which shows you all the songs you've identified using Circle to Search in a chronological list from newest to oldest.

This new "Circle to Search" tool has already been rolled out to both the beta and stable versions of the app via version 16.27, so if it's not available on your Android device yet, we recommend force-closing the app from App Info and then opening it.
