Google Maps adds "Your Recent Places" feature to better manage searches and visits

Google Maps is adding a new section to make it easier to view and manage the places you've visited or searched for, with options for filters, bookmarks, and deleting history.

Google Maps has become an essential tool that should be installed on any electronic device. If you're looking for a specific place, it helps you locate it wherever you are. With the latest feature, it's now more practical than ever.

After using the Google Maps app, you'll notice that it often displays recent results, and these results often aren't related to other searches you've made in the app, which can be confusing for users.

But the latest beta version of Google Maps introduces a new section called "Your Recent Places," under the "You" tab.

This new feature gives you a clearer view of the places you've recently visited or searched for, with options to filter places by location type, mark or save places as favorites, share locations with others, or delete history entries.

This new menu appears specifically above the Your Lists section, making it easier to manage sites without relying on old or new searches.

It is not clear whether this new section requires the schedule to be enabled, although it is very likely that it does.

However, the possibility of it being powered by an independent system that records your trips cannot be ruled out, although until this feature is available, we cannot be certain how it will work.

This feature hasn't been rolled out to everyone yet in the stable release, but it's scheduled to roll out globally and gradually over the next few days or weeks.
