The latest DXOMARK report, released in August 2025, surprised mobile photography enthusiasts: the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra was crowned the best camera phone currently, beating the Oppo Find X8 Ultrab, which came in second place. With a score of 175, Huawei's new flagship phone outperformed its competitor, which scored 169, cementing its position as a benchmark for image quality.
DXOMARK experts confirm that despite slight variations in color and brightness in the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra in challenging lighting conditions, its overall results are excellent. Among its key strengths are:
- Vivid colors: sharp details, and natural exposure in all lighting conditions.
- Portrait photos with natural skin tones and soft, beautiful background blur.
- Excellent performance in ultra-wide angle and telephoto shots, while maintaining a high level of detail.
- Stable, smooth videos with high clarity, even when moving.
The ranking also includes phones from brands like Vivo, Google, Xiaomi, Apple, and Honor, while giant companies like Samsung, Realme, and Motorola narrowly missed out on the top 10. For example, the Galaxy S25 Ultra ranked 12th, and the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra ranked 17th. Below are the phone rankings.
