WhatsApp will tell you which devices are connected to your account so that no one can spy on you
WhatsApp is preparing to launch a new feature that will offer a more comprehensive and transparent user experience.
Following the launch of its official Apple Watch app, Meta is working on developing new features that enable users to identify accessories connected to their accounts, thus improving device management.
According to WABetaInfo , WhatsApp beta version 25.37.10.71 for iOS has added a new category called "Terminals" to the Linked Devices interface. This category aims to provide clearer information about devices connected to the account, displaying their name and the date and time of their last use.
This new peripheral feature will help prevent situations where an account is linked to someone else's Apple Watch without the user's knowledge.
In addition, Meta is developing improvements for managing and storing conversations. Users will be able to specify the storage space available for conversations, with options to delete specific messages or media categories. It will also be possible to delete all media files at once, while preserving starred messages.
Most importantly, the user interface will clearly display the amount of space occupied by each category, making it easier to determine what needs to be deleted.
The exact release date for these features in the stable version is still unknown, but their appearance in the beta version suggests they may arrive in the coming weeks.
