With the help of this smart mirror, you can create a report that predicts your appearance as you age from a 30-second snapshot.
Concerns about our lives and aging are growing, and technology has uninvitedly entered this process. It all started with wearable technology, which converted heart rate, steps, and sleep data into daily measurements we continuously monitor. Then came nutrition apps, smart scales, and the women's tech boom, which included LED face masks for at-home skincare or gadgets that track menstrual cycles.
In the restroom, on our wrists, or in our pockets, we now have access to what a few years ago looked like science fiction. Additionally, this tendency is rapidly advancing thanks to artificial intelligence, moving from assessing our existing condition to trying to predict our state tomorrow.
In this emerging field comes the Longevity Mirror, a device that promises to analyze your face in just 30 seconds, providing a comprehensive assessment of your long-term health. Developed by the Canadian company NuraLogix, which specializes in facial biometrics and AI-powered health models, the mirror was officially unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
This concept is both interesting and ambitious: using a simple gesture like looking in a mirror to show you how you age and how your habits affect that process.
According to the company, the mirror takes a 30-second selfie and uses transdermal imaging technology to analyze blood flow patterns in the face. Based on this information, the device estimates indicators related to stress, cardiovascular health, metabolism, sleep, and biological age. The final result is displayed as a longevity index (from 0 to 100), which shows long-term trends.
In addition to providing real-time data, the Longevity Mirror includes an AI-powered health assistant that analyzes the results and offers personalized recommendations on sleep, physical activity, stress, nutrition, and other daily habits. The goal is to make it easily understandable for users without technical or medical expertise.
NuraLogix indicates that the AI models used in the device have been trained on hundreds of thousands of patient records, enabling it to estimate health risks up to 20 years in advance.
The mirror aims to integrate into daily routines, such as checking your face in the morning or before bed, transforming these moments into opportunities for self-assessment. Unlike wearable devices that accompany the user throughout the day, its function focuses on monitoring trends and changes that accumulate over time.
The device allows users to create up to six profiles, making it easy to share within a single home. Each user maintains their own log and unique patterns.
According to official information, the Longevity Mirror is designed for daily use, ideally in the morning and before bed. The company asserts that regular use helps monitor stress patterns, heart rate, sleep quality, and blood pressure readings when available.
Results may vary from day to day, and this is part of the expected behavior. The idea is not to capture a "perfect" moment but rather to reflect on how real-life situations—weeks of stress, periods of rest, or schedule changes—affect future health.
The Longevity Mirror is available for pre-order on its official website. The advertised price is $899 USD, including the first year's subscription (thereafter $199 USD annually).
The company expects to launch it commercially in 2026, without specifying an exact date.
