The HONOR 600 and 600 Pro are two great mid-range phones that are now available. They want to do great things.

Honor has released the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro, which are part of its 600 series. The goal is clear: to make a strong entry into the affordable premium smartphone market, where the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is currently the best phone. The brand has been gaining traction outside of China for years thanks to its numbered series, but this generation is undoubtedly its most ambitious yet. It is scheduled for a global launch on April 23, 2026.

The idea is simple and familiar: offer features that were until recently exclusive to the premium segment, at a price that makes it an unmissable option. However, as is always the case in this sector, there are details that deserve scrutiny before assuming everything is as perfect as it seems.

- Honor 600 phone: It is the ideal choice for most people

The standard model comes with a 6.57-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, IP68/IP69/IP69K water and dust resistance, a 200MP main camera, and 80W fast charging. A few years ago, these specifications would undoubtedly have been considered flagship features. The phone is powered by a fourth-generation Snapdragon 7 processor, a mid-to-high-performance chip suitable for everyday use. However, the first point of contention is that its predecessor, the Honor 500, used a fourth-generation Snapdragon 8s processor. In other words, the new generation has less processing power than its predecessor, which is difficult to justify in a phone that is supposed to be a game-changer.

In Europe, the Honor 600 will start at €399 for the 256GB version and go up to €529 for the 512GB version. However, there's a point that deserves more attention than Honor has addressed: the model outside of China will come with a 6400mAh battery, while the Chinese version boasts a 7000mAh battery. The difference is significant, and the company has yet to offer a convincing explanation.

Honor 600 Pro phone

The Pro version comes with a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, and 50W wireless charging. These are three tangible improvements for those who need sustained performance, want a practical telephoto lens, and prefer not to search for a charging cable every night. However, the downside is that it uses the same processor as the Honor 500 Pro, meaning that in terms of raw power, there's no significant improvement over the previous generation.

The 600 Pro will only be available with 512GB of storage and will cost €629 in Europe. The price might not seem exorbitant considering what it offers, but the competition in this price range is fierce—from OnePlus, Google, and even Samsung itself—and every euro counts.

One last thing worth mentioning: Honor has an even more revolutionary project in development. According to leaks from the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, the brand has already begun trial production of a battery with a typical capacity of 11,000 mAh, which is almost double the capacity of most current smartphones.
