A free program called Fluent & Cleaner quickly and easily cleans and optimizes Windows
Tools for performance optimization and computer cleaning have always been contentious. While some consider them essential for maintaining a healthy system, others question their effectiveness. In this context, FluentCleaner, a new free application designed specifically for Windows 11, aims to provide an effective and easy-to-use solution.
FluentCleaner comes from the same developers as Flyoobe, a well-known tool for removing unnecessary system elements. This new program draws inspiration from the golden age of programs like CCleaner, when such software was considered both useful and safe. The difference lies in FluentCleaner's more transparent and user-involved approach.
The application identifies system elements that can be removed without impacting computer performance. Thanks to this, FluentCleaner can identify temporary files, browser cache, remnants of uninstalled applications, system registry entries, memory dump files, and other items that occupy storage space without any significant benefit.
Upon opening the application, the user is presented with a clear user interface, based on WinUI 3, allowing them to scan various system categories. After the scan, FluentCleaner displays the files that can be cleaned and the amount of space that can be recovered. However, this is not a one-click solution: the user must review the files they wish to delete to avoid accidentally deleting important data.
Far from promising miracles, FluentCleaner presents itself as a maintenance tool. It's not designed to drastically increase performance or improve frame rates in games, but rather to help in specific situations, such as freeing up space on computers with limited storage capacity or fixing problems caused by cache corruption.
Its most prominent uses include cleaning up files that have accumulated over months, improving application performance, reducing the size of backups, and removing traces of privacy.
As with any tool of this type, it's important to use it with caution. Backing up your data before deleting sensitive files remains a top recommendation.
