Today, over 80 Samsung phones will receive the official One UI 8.5 update.

Samsung has finally released the final version of its One UI 8.5 user interface, following months of anticipation and a leak that revealed the release date. In the upcoming weeks, more compatible phones will receive this updated version, which fixes a number of bugs and adds new AI features like a new assistant. It has started to roll out to mid-range and high-end Galaxy devices.

One UI 8.5's final update is presently being released in South Korea, but in the upcoming weeks, it will probably be accessible in other regions, such as Europe and Latin America. This new version comes with Android 16 QPR3, and while it may not appear to include radical changes at first glance, the list of new features is quite extensive.

Among the new features in the official One UI 8.5 update is a redesign of some system sections. Icons now have a more attractive 3D effect, and the interface of some apps, such as the Phone and Weather apps, has been improved. Samsung has also completely revamped the Quick Settings panel, making it more customizable. This includes options to adjust button sizes and rearrange icons.

Another new feature in One UI 8.5 is the ability to lock apps directly. Previously, you had to copy an app to a secure folder to set a passcode, but now you can do so directly from the main interface. The update also includes several AI improvements, such as the return of Bixby, the option to remove background noise from recordings, and numerous user suggestion features.
