Finally, Windows 11 makes the battery icon colorful. You will not be left without payment any more
Sometimes, a simple change can mean a lot to users in a Windows environment, and it is this change that is preparing to arrive very soon and will forever change the perception of the battery indicator in the operating system.
Currently, in the Windows 11 taskbar, there is a relevant battery icon, a black and white icon, which shows the percentage of battery remaining when you hover over it.
However, in the latest preview build of Windows 11, some new features will come to the battery icon issue in the system.
With the new change that will be introduced very soon, also in a stable version for everyone, the battery icon will not only be black like the current one but will also embrace yellow, green, and red.
As Microsoft explains in the announcement documentation, when the battery indicator is green, it means the device is charging and in good condition.
On the other hand, a yellow battery icon means that the computer is using the battery in power saving mode, which happens automatically when the battery level is less than or equal to 20%.
Finally, when the battery icon is red, it means that the battery is very low and you should connect it to the power supply as soon as possible.
This new battery icon will appear in the taskbar, the Quick Settings drop-down menu, and general Windows settings. It will also appear on the lock screen, but that will be in a later version of Windows 11.
Thanks to this change in the battery indicator, we will be able to know at a glance the battery status of our devices.
