Elon Musk says goodbye to TikTok by introducing vertical videos in X
Other social networks, including X, the former Twitter, have abruptly introduced their own vertical video features in response to TikTok's temporary ban in the US.
For instance, X shocked everyone on January 20 by revealing a new vertical video section in the app that has been seen on iPhones and iPads.
Elon Musk took this announcement very seriously, and it has just been verified that vertical videos have begun to appear in the rest of the world in the last few hours.
In particular, X told Techcrunch that vertical video streaming is now accessible everywhere and is being introduced gradually.
It's so far been seen in places like India, Australia, and some European markets, and you can access this new option through a new dedicated tab in the X app, located next to Grok.
It's worth noting that the new vertical videos are only rolling out in X on iOS devices, so you'll be able to watch them on your iPhone as well as your iPad.
As for its arrival on Android, it will arrive soon, so if you have a device that is not an iPad or iPhone, you will not be able to enjoy this new function yet.
Given the situation in the United States with TikTok, which could be banned again in the coming weeks, it is clear that the rest of the social networks will not miss the unique opportunity to try to position themselves in this sector of the video market.
you better not be making a dedicated video tab when I get home
