Update WhatsApp right away. A new feature that makes scanning files and documents quicker and easier has arrived

Meta’s WhatsApp latest update for iPhone users brings a feature that makes document management easier. The app now lets you scan files directly from its interface, without having to resort to third-party apps.
While the feature is initially only available for iOS devices, it is expected to become available to Android users with future updates. In the meantime, users can continue to use the free tool built into Google Drive to scan files.
The tool, integrated into the Documents section, is intuitive and seeks to simplify the process of converting data to digital, a resource increasingly used in both business, educational, and personal environments, as well as being an essential resource for those seeking flexibility when sharing files in digital PDF format.
To access this tool, iPhone users need to tap on the “+” button located in the lower left corner of the conversation. Under the drop-down menu, when you select the “Document” option, an alternative called “Scan Document” now appears.
This feature requires no additional configuration or downloads. It is fully integrated and allows you to start the digital conversion process from the moment you select the option, expanding the possibilities of file management directly from the application.
Once you select the “Scan Document” option, the device’s camera is activated, allowing you to focus directly on the document you want to scan. The app uses recognition technology to automatically adjust edges and enhance the captured image.
Users can scan multiple pages in a single session, as the feature allows adding new scans before the process is complete. Once completed, the documents can be saved as PDF files and sent directly from WhatsApp.
