Gemini will be faster on your mobile phone.. Flash 2.0 version is now available

Gemini is making great strides, as it is set to fully integrate Google’s AI into the company’s services and devices. The announcement that Gemini 2.0 Flash will be deployed in the Gemini mobile app comes as no surprise, but it is a step that confirms Google’s position in the AI space in a highly competitive market.
OpenAI’s ChatGPT is arguably the most well-known AI chatbot out there, as it generated the most buzz when it was launched. However, all the focus these days is on AIs coming from China, such as the controversial DeepSeek or even its competitor Qwen 2.5 Max . Despite their impressive capabilities, they don’t have the major advantage that Gemini does.
Gemini has full hardware integration, and Google phones like the Pixel 9 or Pixel 9 XL already have AI capabilities. Now Google wants to make Gemini’s capabilities even bigger and faster. To do this, it has announced that the Gemini 2.0 Flash model, which was announced alongside Gemini 2.0, will be integrated into the app.
- Gemini 2.0 Flash arrives on mobile devices
The announcement posted by Google on its official blog points out some of the key points of this move. Among the capabilities offered by Gemini 2.0 Flash, it is emphasized that it is the most efficient model that Google has in its portfolio. This means that it is designed to perform everyday tasks on devices such as mobile phones.
Despite this approach, Gemini 2.0 Flash is no ordinary model. Google says its capabilities include:
- Access a contextual window with 1 million tokens to download up to 1500 pages of files
- Support input for images, texts, video and audio.
- Output support for images, texts, video and audio.
Now all users will be able to enjoy Gemini 2.0 Flash on their devices, but this new model can also be used in the web version of Google Gemini. It has already been launched and will be available in the next few weeks.
