Two apps are launched by Windows 11 to assist with finding contacts and files

Users of Windows 11 appear to be in luck, as Microsoft recently released two new apps that will facilitate file and contact searches, among other tasks.

We now have official confirmation regarding the two new Windows 11 apps, People and File Search, which were leaked a few months ago.

The apps show what they will do in Windows 11, as their name implies, but not all users will be able to use them.

It is important to note that the new file and people search apps are currently in preview and are aimed mainly at Microsoft 365 subscribers and organizations.

The first app is called People, which is a companion app that assists you in finding contacts within your company. It will give you quick access to all the pertinent details about every contact, including the ability to view their profile cards and send them a brief message through Microsoft Teams without switching between apps.

File Search is another app that allows you to locate recently opened files. Its many filters allow you to search by type, content, and other criteria. To be completely certain of what you are looking for, it also provides file previews.

These little apps enhance your everyday tasks by integrating easily with other Microsoft 365 apps, like Teams and OneDrive. With these apps, you will see familiar routes in an incredibly quick and optimized format. Additionally, regardless of how busy your workspace is, you can pin both apps to your taskbar for constant access.

As you can see, the Windows operating system now has a wider selection of applications thanks to these new ones.
