When Microsoft Edge first launches, it has significant new features. Update now

Over time, Microsoft Edge has established itself as a preferred choice in a significant segment of web browsers, largely due to the new features and innovations the tech giant continually releases.

It's now so bad that we're telling you that a new version has just arrived, and you should install it as soon as possible. We're actually referring to the new Microsoft Edge 134, with which the company intends to continue making things even more difficult for the popular Google Chrome browser. While it's still a long way off, this browser aims to one day compete head-to-head with the search giant's browser.

So, below, we'll discuss all the new features Microsoft just added to the new Edge 134 release. First and foremost, we should note that if this new version of the web browser hasn't arrived automatically yet, it should do so in the next few hours or days. All you have to do is go to  edge://settings/help  and the browser will update automatically.

We also need to keep in mind that it's already available on its stable channel and offers numerous improvements and changes. For example, we find better link handling and a faster settings section, all thanks to WebUI 2. On the other hand, it's worth noting that the company is currently working on improving the browser's customization pages. There are also new policies for the scareware blocker feature to improve security.

Microsoft Edge 134 changes and improvements

If you have any questions about installing and updating Microsoft's browser, here are the key new features coming to Edge 134 that you should keep in mind.

- Remove the option to add an account from the profile menu to remove the option to add a personal account directly linked from Edge.

- Stop using the LinkedAccountEnabled policy in the new version of the browser.

- Updated and removed Microsoft's search policy via Bing, thus discontinuing the live search experience on Bing.com.

The policy used to configure Microsoft search results on Bing in the address bar is outdated and will no longer work.

- The new Edge browser on macOS now seamlessly opens links in Teams when the program is set as the default for these tasks.

Microsoft Edge's fearsome malware blocking policy, an AI-powered shield designed to protect against these attacks, is now available. It's currently in preview, but you can already activate it.

Improvements are being made to the Edge configuration, which is now moving to WebUI2, to improve page responsiveness. A series of small visual and content updates are also coming to improve the usability and usefulness of this section.
