From now on, simply scan documents on your phone using this Google method
The update you didn't ask for, but you'll be using now if you love scanning documents on your Android phone, because it's now more efficient than ever.
One feature that our smartphone cameras offer, often used in work or school environments, is their ability to scan documents.
If you have an Android device, you'll be interested to know that Google's Android Document Scanner will now automatically optimize your documents, and do so immediately after scanning them.
You may have used the scanner feature on your Android phone before, but to make it look great, you had to tweak it afterwards, which is a time-consuming process.
Fortunately, Google has introduced an improvement to the MLKit document scanner used in apps like Google Drive, Files by Google, the Pixel camera, and others.
- A new camera icon in Google Drive allows you to scan documents.
With this change, documents will be automatically optimized immediately after scanning. Additionally, a button has been added to the upper right corner after scanning a document that allows you to remove this optimization if you are not satisfied with it.
This way, you won't need to go to the filters area anymore; the effect will be applied immediately after scanning the document, making it faster and more convenient than before.
This improvement is currently available in version 25.17.30 of the Google Play Services app , so it should be available to most users.
