The Arc browser, which was the best substitute for Google Chrome, has vanished
The web browser-centric software industry is booming with products for us to try because of its extensive use. Many were disappointed by the disappearance of one of the best alternatives to Google Chrome: Arc.
The most well-known options of this kind, like Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome, are probably familiar to most of you. There are numerous other browsers that you might want to try out at some point, even though Google Chrome is by far the most popular. Arc was regarded as one of the greatest substitutes for popular browsers until recently, but it appears that its time is running out.
The reason we're telling you all of this is because The Browser Company, the company that started this project, has stopped releasing new browser features. It only provides security patches, bug fixes, and Chromium updates at the moment. Given that TBC has already revealed that it is developing a new browser named Dia, this has left Arc users unsure about the browser's future.
Josh Miller, the CEO of the company, has now responded to these queries, formally stating that Arc development is now complete. From now on, the company will only provide essential security updates and critical bug fixes. What was once one of the most innovative browsers is now a product used by a small community of users.
