Use this tip to block content on TikTok that you don't want to see.
There doesn't seem to be any middle ground with TikTok. Either you adore it or you detest it. This is mostly because of its algorithm, which favors content that is controversial because it gets the most interactions and comments. It's time to learn how to filter content on TikTok, though, if you enjoy everything about the app, not just this particular kind of content.
TikTok has implemented a feature that lets you block particular words to filter content as you see fit because it is well aware of the problems with its algorithm. Below, we'll go over how to use it.
Using TikTok's keyword filter is the simplest and quickest method to get rid of content that annoys or doesn't interest you:
- Launch TikTok and select the profile option located at the lower right corner.
The three horizontal lines in the upper right corner can be clicked.
- Select Settings and Privacy.
- Go to Content Preferences.
- Choose to filter by keywords.
- Click on the Add Keyword button.
- Enter the keyword for the content you don't want to see, then check the boxes for the TikTok sections where you want to apply the filter.
- Finally, click Save in the top right.
After doing this, TikTok will not show you videos that contain (either in their description or tags) the words you blocked.
Keep in mind that you can add as many keywords as you like to your TikTok content filter, so take advantage of the opportunity to block anything that bothers you.
