With this new site you can visit almost any city in the world. see it as you move through it!
Google Maps is an excellent application for viewing the world's cities on our computer screens. Furthermore, with the launch of the Street View feature a few years ago, the quality of our experience when searching for any corner of a city has dramatically increased. What no one expected was a website that would take city exploration to a new level.
Because there's life beyond Google Maps. It's time to talk about Citywalki, a new web platform that lets us virtually walk through more than 200 cities around the world. But when we say "walk," we don't mean tapping on the screen like Street View does to navigate. No, because the site itself allows us to see the entire city in real time. And it's not just about walking; there's also a "car" and "fly" mode to see the city as we please. Want to see New York? Tokyo? Well, you can do that.
Citywalki is as close to a real city tour as you can get, but without having to leave your computer. It features over 200 cities for you to search and explore. And you literally get to do it: walk the streets and avenues, see the monuments, and much more. Plus, you don't always have to walk—you can do that too with "drive" and "fly" modes.
As you can see in the image, you can start by selecting the city you'd like to visit. In this case, we've chosen Marrakesh. Once you select it, the site takes you to that city, and you begin to see it as if you were walking around it.
