YouTube announces a host of new features: new AI editing options and more surprises.

YouTube has unveiled a series of new features that will revolutionize the way we create, edit, and monetize content on the platform.

During its Made on YouTube event in New York, the company unveiled new AI-powered features, improvements to live streaming, and new options for integrating purchases directly into videos, especially for its popular short videos.

A key focus of the event was the AI tools YouTube integrates directly into its ecosystem to help creators in their daily lives. This goes beyond video editing, but encompasses everything related to it: strategy, analysis, and performance testing.

The new Ask Studio tool is a chatbot that acts as a virtual assistant for content creators. It allows you to view key metrics, analyze audience feedback, identify the best video moments, and even generate ideas for future content based on real feedback. For example, you can ask questions like, "Which part of your previous video generated the most disengagement from your audience?" or "Give me five video ideas based on your most frequent comments." All of this is integrated into Creator Studio itself.

This tool adds a long-awaited feature: built-in A/B testing for thumbnails and headlines. With this feature, creators can upload different combinations and let the system choose the most appropriate one based on actual viewing time.

Continuing the new features coming to YouTube, it has also introduced new features focused on monetization and e-commerce, strengthening its position as a shopping platform, especially in short video formats.

One of the most significant new features is the integration of an AI-powered automatic product tagging system. This system recognizes products appearing onscreen in videos (either in image or audio) and automatically tags them. This way, viewers can access purchase links without the creator having to manually do so.

A new option will also be available to insert branded links directly into short videos, allowing creators to redirect users to external pages for recommended products. This feature will begin testing later this year and will launch globally in 2026.

Among the most exciting new features, we'll now be able to broadcast in both landscape and portrait formats at the same time, with one integrated chat for all viewers.
