The design of Trump's new T1 mobile phone has changed again. It now looks like a phone from a brand that no one remembers.
In mid-June of last year, President Donald Trump officially launched his smartphone and mobile phone service. The goal was to create a full communications service and a "conservative alternative" in the phone market. However, its launch was accompanied by widespread controversy, as it emerged that the T1 phone was not manufactured in the United States, despite the president's promise of a fully American-made smartphone. Furthermore, while the T1's design initially resembled an iPhone, it was changed months later to resemble Samsung Galaxy phones.
All indications pointed to the phone resembling models from the South Korean company and being released in late 2025 or early 2021, but months passed without any sign of its existence until The Verge revealed in early February that Trump’s phone actually existed.
In a video call with two Trump Mobile executives, The Verge learned about the reasons for the device's delayed market launch, its expected arrival date, and the multiple changes to the production plan. Furthermore, the same publication revealed that the phone shown in the video call was not the same one the company had presented in recent months; the camera triangle had been replaced with three vertically aligned lenses, and the back featured a gold finish with the Trump Mobile logo alongside the American flag.
Now, coinciding with the aforementioned information, The Verge has again reported that Trump Mobile has revamped its website, adding a new logo, a modern design, and a new version of the T1 phone. As shown in the image below, the redesigned smartphone is the same one that the company executives showcased during the video call, meaning it may be the final design.
In terms of design, the phone remains gold, features the American flag on the back alongside the Trump Mobile logo, a triple rear camera setup, curved edges, and a headphone jack at the top. According to The Verge, it "looks remarkably like the HTC U24 Pro."
As for the specifications, the phone has a 6.78-inch OLED screen, a 5000 mAh battery with 30W charging, runs on Android 15, has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series processor, a 50-megapixel front camera, and a triple rear camera system that includes a 50-megapixel main lens, a 2x optical zoom lens, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
On the other hand, there is no information yet on its availability or price. However, during a video call with The Verge, executives indicated that the initial purchase price would be $499, and the final price would be less than $1,000.
In addition to updating the phone's specifications, the Trump Mobile website explained its manufacturing process: "The phone was designed with American innovation, with American teams contributing to the design and quality." Beyond that, the website provided no further details, although The Verge reported that the smartphone would be assembled in Miami.
Taking all these details together, it could mean that "Trump's mobile phone may become a real phone" because Truth Mobile has shown signs of activity, starting with the FCC's approval of the phone and the trademark registration of 47 Plan.
