A new feature in Windows 11 allows you to identify and extract any text that shows up on the screen

In many cases, we may need to use the screenshot feature when working on our computer. To do this, we either use the tool built into Windows 11 itself or use third-party solutions.

The truth is that in this sense, Microsoft has recently tried to make things a lot easier for us in its operating system. Thus, we find ourselves with a powerful integrated application that has some interesting functions that allow us to customize our screenshots in real time. Specifically, we are referring here to the Snipping Tool, which surely many of you have used on more than one occasion.

Here are  these tricks to use the hidden snipping tool in Windows like a pro

To give you an idea and in case you don't know, you can open this tool directly through the key combination Win + Shift + S. At this point, it is important to know that Microsoft itself is currently working on a new and powerful feature that it will integrate into the Snipping Tool. This is a new utility that will allow us to capture texts that appear on the screen, directly from the Snipping Tool.

This is how we can extract texts from screenshots in Windows 11

It seems that the built-in tool in Windows 11, which focuses on screenshots, will add a new function to its menus called Text Extractor. So, all we have to do is click on it to start the character recognition technology. Then, once we have the text we need on the screen, by selecting this new option, we can draw a box around the content so that the tool can extract it.

At this point we will be able to save it to the system clipboard and paste it directly into any other application, for example into a text editor like Word. We can also use it in email or any other program or platform that supports this content.

However, we still don't know when this feature will be released in the stable version of Microsoft's operating system, as it is currently in the testing period.
