You can use Windows' hidden snipping tool more effectively with these pointers

We all know that there is a Snipping Tool in Windows, and some of us use it, but most of us do not use this tool and rely on other similar tools, while this tool, with some tricks and dealing with it more professionally, may make you dispense with any other method for taking screenshots. Below are some of these tricks.

By the way, to access this tool, just put its name in the search box in Windows and it will appear as in the image above.

* Know the functions of the tool correctly.

The tool does not take pictures of the screen randomly according to you but rather provides you with 4 options for capturing the screen in order to reach the best productivity. The first option is called Free-form Snap, and what is meant by the latter is free capture of the screen without being restricted to a specific area, meaning that you are the one who determines the part to be captured.

While the second option, Rectangular Snip, allows you to drag the mouse pointer towards the place you want to take a picture of, and for your information, this is the default option for the tool, the third option, Window Snip, asks you to choose an open window to take a picture of it automatically, and finally the fourth option, Full-screen Snip, takes a full picture of the screen by simply pressing the tool.

* Removing the white layer

When trying to take a picture of the screen, you find that the screen has become a slightly unclear white color, which means that the tool is now activated and waiting to determine the capture location, and unfortunately this white color obscures the view of what is behind it, so to remove this color, all you have to do is go to the tool settings that appear when you open it, and then the Snipping Tool Options window will appear, and then remove the mark from the last option as follows:

* Use the delay feature.

Sometimes when activating the tool, you may not have enough time to open, for example, the object you want to take a picture of because the tool works immediately. Therefore, you can change the tool settings to take the picture after activating the tool for a certain number of seconds. To do this, all you have to do is enter the delay option that appears to you when you open the tool directly. By default, it will be zero. Change it to the number of seconds you want, up to 5 seconds.

* Create a shortcut for the tool for quick access

If you use this tool a lot, then certainly creating a shortcut for it on the keyboard is a very nice and convenient solution. To create a shortcut, go to the Snipping Tool in the Start menu, right-click, then choose Properties, then choose Shourtcut. From the latter, go to the Shortcut key box and choose any shortcut you want.
