Survival list If you have one of these 44 Xiaomi phones, you're safe and will be able to update to Android 17
In case you weren't aware, Google has already released the first phase of Android 17, confirming that the system is official and nearing its official launch. As is typical with such announcements, questions have begun to arise regarding updates for Xiaomi, Motorola, Samsung, and other brands. Today, we're focusing on the brand with the largest number of models to tell you which phones are 100% certain to receive Android 17.
How do we know? Well, Xiaomi has been publishing the support it offers for each of its models on its website for some time now: when the update is released, we already know which Android version the device will support. So, all we had to do was check which models are included in the Android 17 update package. For some phones, this will be the last major update, while others still have a long lifespan.
And what about HyperOS 4? Well, Xiaomi only talks about operating systems, not its own interface. However, it's easy to predict what will happen. It's almost certain that phones updating to Android 17 will receive the next version of HyperOS 4. There's no doubt that even some models still running Android 16 will receive this upcoming update.
- All Xiaomi phones will be updated to Android 17 and HyperOS 4 operating systems.
Checking if your device is among the selected devices is very simple: just check the list below. If your Xiaomi phone is listed, it means it will receive the Android 17 update and HyperOS 4. Of course, POCO and Redmi phones are also included.
But what if your phone isn't on the list? It's very likely you won't get the update. Previously, when Xiaomi didn't announce specific support years, the fate of many devices was unknown until the last minute, but now, with this list, any phone not included has a very slim chance of getting Android 17.

When will Android 17 and HyperOS 4 arrive on these Xiaomi phones? It's impossible to answer that question right now. Google will likely unveil the new operating system at its Google I/O conference around May, and companies will then begin revealing their plans. However, don't expect the update anytime soon; it will probably start rolling out at the end of September at the earliest.
